People in Finland are having some fun online with a recent comment President Donald Trump made about their country.
On Saturday, President Trump surveyed the damage left behind by wildfires in California. During his visit, he told reporters that wildfires weren’t a problem in Finland because they “spend a lot of time on raking and cleaning.”
Finns quickly took to social media and started posting pictures of themselves raking their yards. Many started playing on Trump’s other phrases and tweeted “Make America Rake Again” and “Rake News.”

Finnish President Sauli Niinisto confirmed Sunday that he spoke briefly with Trump about forest management during a recent visit to Paris.
Though he remembered telling the president they take care of their forests, he says he couldn’t recall the topic of raking coming up during the conversation. Niinisto later clarified that he meant Finland has a good monitoring system that helps prevent severe wildfires.
