Ice cream is the summertime treat sure to cool anyone off, but one local shop has a flavor that will have you sweating bullets!
The world’s spiciest ice cream challenege is happening at Snobachi in Ybor City, right near the Columbia restaurant.
The ice cream is mixed with the Carolina Reaper and Mad Gog 357 hot sauce.
To let you know how spicy it is, pepper spray hits the 5 million mark on the heat scale.This ice cream hits the 9 million mark.
“This thing’s fiery, it’s hot. when you eat it you’re going to be running to the trash can. It’s definitely the challenge to do,” said employee Chelsey Lopez.
Anyone who can eat a roll of the ice cream, and keep it down, wins free ice cream from Snobachi for a year.
Contestants must sign a waiver before trying the ice cream. Employees say they will be on standby to call 911 if someone needs them to. They also provide milk to help tame the heat.
So far, even the employees haven’t won the challenge.
