TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – Tampa police are investigating after a car crashed into a West Tampa motel and then burst into flames.
It happened around 2:30 Thursday morning near North Matanzas and West Hillsborough Avenue.
Police say the driver of a 4-door sedan made an improper lane change and hit another car, pushing it into a power pole.
The driver that hit the car, lost control of her car and crashed into the Sunny South Motel and burst into flames.
The crash knocked out power to the motel and the surrounding neighborhood.
TECO crews have restored power to the area.
