Tampa is becoming a leader in cardiovascular innovation, now attracting the worlds largest Cardio-Oncology conference to the Bay Area.

With the new growth in downtown Tampa, including the Water Street development, USF Morsani College of Medicine and the new USF Health Heart Institute, a major, world-wide cardiology conference has chosen Moffitt Cancer Center, USF and downtown Tampa to host this year’s Global Cardio-Oncology Summit.

320 representatives from 23 different countries will attend the summit at the Hilton in downtown Tampa Thursday and Friday. The event is co-chaired by Dr. Michael Fradley and Dr. Roohi Ismail-Kahn from USF and Moffitt.

The conference is bringing the latest technology, research and brightest minds in cardiac cancer from around the world to the Bay Area and putting Tampa on the map as a leader in cardiac research and health innovation.

Last year it was held in London, next year it will be in Brazil.
