June is one of the busiest wedding months of the year and one shop in Tampa is already having a busy month thanks to social media.
Truly Forever Bridal Boutique has been using social media to bring people from all over the world to their store on East Busch Blvd.
“This is all about love. Marriage is about love. Purchasing that important gown for that very important day, you know, it’s love,” said the store’s owner, Lela Haas.
The boutique, which used to be John’s Bridal, has been in business for almost 20 years. The store was remodeled and its inventory was tripled, now it’s considered the largest bridal off the rack store in Florida.
Now the shop is extending beyond Florida after garnering thousands of followers on social media.
“We had special trips from Arizona, from New York to L.A., from Chicago area, from pretty much all over the United States,” Haas said.
Gosia and Mariusz Figura came from Poland to find the perfect wedding dress.
“First we think it’s very huge! It’s very huge and a lot of dresses,” Mariusz said.
Gosia first discovered Truly Forever Bridal on Facebook and reached out to Haas.
“We are planning trip to United States. We would love to come to your store. It’s my dream to buy a dress from your store,” Gosia said in the message.
“Of course we invited them, and here they are!” Haas told News Channel 8.
Going down row by row, Gosia gets the help she needs from Lela who is also from Poland, and tries on the dress she hopes to wear in a church one day.
That desire to make it all about the bride is what continues to bring this local business an international clientele.
“I think my favorite thing is to see the excitement and serve our brides and celebrate them every moment,” said Haas.
