VENICE, Fla. (WFLA) — A 28-year-old man was arrested after leading police on a foot and vehicle chase and avoiding officer gunfire Saturday morning, the Venice Police Department said. .
Police arrested Kevin A Hamilton at an apartment on Armada Avenue.
The incident started on Menedez Street around 5 a.m.
The police department said an officer fired at Hamilton following a vehicle and foot chase. The suspect was reportedly able to flee the scene uninjured.
The officer is being treated for “minor abrasions.”
