For those parents who are still looking for camps to entertain the kids this summer, it’s not too late.
Hillsborough County Parks is offering three specialty camps. Skating camp for the kids who love the boards, eco-adventure camp will have them on hiking excursions, and fishing camp goes beyond the pole and reel.
Each of the specialty camps cost $120 for a two-week session, with the first sessions beginning in early June. Children who receive free or reduced-price lunches might qualify for a discount. The two-week sessions go all summer long so if the beginning of the summer is full you can try later weeks.
You can also try Camp Seal, separate from the county, combines swim lessons with archery, field trips, sports, arts and crafts and more.
For the older kids – USF still has color guard, drum line, band, and guitar camps where registration goes until June.
