Palmetto man charged with attempted murder after shooting neighbor during argument

A Palmetto man has been charged with attempted murder and aggravated battery after shooting his neighbor during an argument on Wednesday. 

The shooting occurred at 2019 Lakeside Boulevard.

According to sheriff’s office, the incident happened after an apparent argument between neighbors.

The argument between Joseph Prisco and William Andrus turned physical.

Andrus began striking the Prisco with what the victim’s wife, Brenda Prisco, claimed was a brick.

Brenda  tried to assist her husband and Andrus began hitting her.

At some point during the altercation, Andrus pulled a pistol and fired several times, striking Prisco on the right side of his body.

Both Joseph and Brenda Prisco were taken to a hospital.

Andrus is facing the attempted murder and aggravated battery charges.
