A crash involving a motorcycle left one person dead during rush hour on Friday, officials said.
The incident occurred on State Road 54 near Black Lake Road at about 5 p.m.
The Florida Highway Patrol said 57-year-old Eugenio Clerge of Brooksville was driving southbound on Asturian Parkway, then turned onto the highway and hit a Harley-Davidson Fat Boy carrying two passengers.
The 50-year-old motorcyclist was rushed to Medical Center of Trinity where he was pronounced deceased. His 54-year-old passenger was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital. Their names were not released.
Charges are pending, according to the report.
