UPDATE | Less than a day after a Missing Child Alert was issued for a 1-year-old boy from St. Petersburg, he was found safe with his mother at an area hotel, officials said Friday.
Police said 28-year-old Sydney Wyatt and her son, Future Johnson were reported missing and their car was found abandoned in Pinellas Park Thursday.
On Friday, police said a number of tips led them to a local hotel where they found the mother and child. Both are said to be safe.

ORIGINAL STORY | St. Pete police are asking for the public’s help in finding a 28-year-old mother and her 1-year-old son after their car was found abandoned in Pinellas Park.
Sydney Wyatt and her son, Future Johnson, were last seen at about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday when they both left her grandmother’s home near 15th Street North and 78th Terrace North in St. Petersburg.
Police said Wyatt borrowed her grandmother’s vehicle, which was found abandoned in Pinellas Park with a car seat and numerous baby items still inside.
Wyatt is described as 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds. She has dark brown hair and her head is shaved on the left side. Wyatt has the tattoo of the letter “S” on her left ring finger and the words “Future” and “rusty” tattooed on her chest near her collarbone.
Police said Future has short blond hair and blue eyes.
He is 1 foot tall and 20 pounds.
He was last seen wearing a pink, gray and navy-blue shirt, blue cotton shorts that look like denim and blue and green Nike shoes.
A Florida Missing Child Alert was issued at 8:12 p.m. Thursday for Future.
