A memorial was held for three members of the same family killed in Haines City last week. Several dozen people came together outside of the Citrus Ridge Apartments.
They lit candles and released balloons for Elizabelle Frenel, 6, her mother Eli Junia Normil, 23, and Normil’s mom, Nicole Guillume, 48.
Right now, suspect Ernst Cherizard, 38, faces three counts of first-degree murder. The judge has ordered that he be held in jail without bond.
News Channel 8 spoke with the father of the youngest victim on Saturday.
“I just want justice for my daughter and she deserves it and I’m here to fight for her,” said Henry Frenel.
Police say Cherizard shot Frenel and her mother, Normil at their home.
When Normil’s mom Guillume came to the apartment to check on her, Cherizard allegedly shot and killed her too.
Police said Normil and Cherizard were in a relationship and have two children together.
News Channel 8 has learned the children are younger than two years old.
“With this tight-knit family that we got, they’ll be okay,” said Jessy Jean.
Court records indicate Normil had taken a restraining order out against Cherizard in April of 2017, but the order was lifted two weeks later.
Records also show Winter Haven Police arrested Cherizard on a domestic battery charge. The victim was listed as Normil.
The funerals are set to take place next weekend.
