MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) – The Manatee County School Board voted to approve a resolution opposing arming teachers on Tuesday.
Manatee School Board members voted 3-2.
Under the state bill enacted last year after the massacre at Stoneman Douglas High School, each county will decide if their teachers can participate in the guardian program.
The Florida Senate on Tuesday passed a bill expanding the program.
