Manatee County deputies need your help locating a man named “Scooter” who is believed to have shot two people.
Deputies say at around 2:43 a.m. Monday the two victims and Scotter were in the club Spot 26 when one of the victims exchanged words with “Scooter”.
Once the club closed, a fist fight broke out between one of the victims and Scooter. When the second victim attempted to break up the fight “Scooter” pulled out a gun and shot both victims.
The suspect fled the scene by unknown means and direction.
After being shot, Victim 2 ran down the middle of 43rd Avenue West toward Waffle House where a bystander drove him to a hospital. Victim 1 ran along the north side of the building and then south where he collapsed by the back door of the club.
Victim 1 was treated at the scene by EMS and later transported to an area hospital. Both victims are alive, however, their conditions are unknown at this time.
