MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — A day-care owner was arrested and charged on Tuesday for having inappropriate contact with two of his teenage employees, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.
Detectives learned of the allegations regarding owner Sanjay Das, 58, of Country Cubs Day Care on US 301 North in Parrish last summer.
Officials interviewed employees and an underage victim over the past several months who experienced similar incidents while working with Das.
On Tuesday, detectives executed a search warrant and arrested Das for committing lewd and lascivious molestation and lewd and lascivious touching of certain minors.
Das is currently being held in the Manatee County Jail as he awaits his court appearance.
Officials said there is no evidence that he committed any inappropriate acts on the children who attended his day care.
