PALMETTO, Fla. (WFLA) – A crash in Palmetto sends two children to All Children’s Hospital with serious injuries.

FHP deputies say the crash happened when an 89-year-old driver of a Nissan Rogue was driving westbound on U.S. 41. when the driver attempted to turn left, they turned directly into the path of a Toyota Corolla.

The accident occurred just before 6 p.m. Sunday night on U.S. 41 & 16th Avenue East. 

According to FHP’s crash report, two children were taken to All Children’s Hospital with serious injuries while both drivers were taken to Bayfront Hospital and Blake Medical Hospital with minor injuries.

As of now, no charges have been filed
