A Manatee County teacher was arrested on charges related to solicitation of a child for sex on Tuesday.
Austin Pearce was arrested in St. Petersburg on charges from a warrant out of Orange County.
He was a first year agriculture teacher at Palmetto High School.
Pearce was fired on Wednesday when the school learned of the allegations.
A spokesman for Manatee County Schools said the charges do not involved any students in the county.
Pearce was booked into the Pinellas County Jail.
He bonded out of jail Wednesday morning on $3,000 bond.
