MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) – A Manatee County corrections deputy was charged Wednesday with delivery of a controlled substance.

Raymond Moore, 45, “supplied someone with his prescribed Klonopin pills,” deputies said. Investigators then arranged for Moore to supply pills to the same person as before, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

“The person received several Clonazepam pills from Moore,” deputies said.

Deputies said money was not exchanged.

Moore was terminated. He had been with the sheriff’s office for 12 years.

Deputies said the incident occurred while Moore was off-duty. “There is no evidence that Moore supplied anyone with pills while working at the jail,” deputies said.
