TAMPA (WFLA) — Donald Trump Jr. was in Tampa Sunday morning hosting a Make America Great Again event at the Tampa Convention Center.
The Trump Campaign calling this bus tour ‘Fighters against Socialism’ and featured UFC Fighter Jorge Masvidal, speaking about his father who he says escaped Cuba on a tire.
“So since about knee high I have been hearing about the horrors of communism and socialism,” said Jorge Masvidal.
The bus tour kicked off in Tampa and then made it’s way around the state with stops in Orlando, Coconut Creek, and Miami.
8 On Your Side spoke with a mother who resonated with today’s message, as she recalls her own family stories of her family members living in Cuba.
“No country in the world is like America and I want to keep it that way for my daughter and her kids,” said DeeDee Diaz.
The Trump Campaign continues with different events in Tampa, as Second Lady Karen Pence will be holding a rally on Monday.
