Getting your vehicle registration renewal is a lot easier now in Hillsborough County with the introduction of self-serving kiosks. The Hillsborough County Tax Collector’s office is the first in the state of Florida to offer a self-service kiosk with easy-to-use touch screen prompts to renew vehicle registrations.
The kiosk allows customers to pay with cash or credit and get their vehicle registrations and decal in as little as two minutes without having to wait in line. Instructions and voice prompts in English or Spanish.
There is no additional charge for cash transactions at the kiosk and a nominal 2.25% fee when paying with credit or debit cards. The self-service kiosks are offered at the Tax Collector’s Brandon, Drew Park and North Tampa branches.
“Providing a self-service kiosk is just another innovative example of how we strive to provide excellent customer service to the citizens of Hillsborough County.” Hillsborough Tax Collector Doug Belden said.
The Tax Collector’s office processes more registrations than any other transaction, processing 640,000 registration in the branches in 2018.
