Hernando sheriff’s office searching for absconded sexual predator

BROOKSVILLE, Fla. (WFLA) – The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help locating an absconded sexual predator who cut off his ankle monitor and fled from his home on Friday.

According to the sheriff’s office, William Haverty, 55, cut off the monitor and fled from 11811 Broad Street in Brooksville after learning of pending criminal charges.

Haverty is 6’1” and 200 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes.
