SPRING HILL, Fla. (WFLA) – Hernando County Sheriff’s Office deputies are trying to figure out how a man was shot in a Spring Hill neighborhood.
Deputies responded to a call at 8:50 a.m. Tuesday about a person who was shot at home at 5187 Alliance Avenue.
Deputies say a man at the home went to a neighbor’s house asking for help. The man was reportedly “screaming in pain and bloody.” The neighbor called 911.
The man told police he was shot between 2 a.m. and 8:50 a.m. He was transported to a local trauma center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Deputies and a K-9 team checked the residence at 5187 Alliance Avenue to ensure that no suspects or other victims were inside. No one was found in the home or in the immediate area.
The incident remains under investigation.
