HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — Three juveniles and one adult were charged after a store in Brooksville was broken into last Wednesday morning.
Owners at American Gun and Pawn Inc. told 8 On Your Side’s Annie Mapp that, the break-in was discovered by a store manager. The manager said 35 firearms were stolen.
“We have gold and everything else and they were just targeting firearms, they were in for a mission,” said Kara Champion, store manager.
Champion said she opened the store to discover a back door open and hammer the suspects used to break-in to a tempered glass firearm case.
“They were targeting a very high dollar case like on purpose,” Champion said. “The Kimbers are the highest dollar handguns by far, they are $1000 each at least.”
Following the burglary, Hernando County Sheriff Al Nienhuis says all the stolen firearms were recovered. He also announced that two of the suspects are “Killin Bout Mine” (KMB) gang members, including the gang founder.
The sheriff said the suspects went to [American Gun and Pawn Inc.] on April 26, just a day before the break-in occurred.
