A search warrant was authorized for Groves’ social media accounts where detectives found the 73 files.
On Wednesday, Groves was arrested at his Brooksville home after admitting to the social media account in question, along with viewing and possessing the files.
Groves was charged with 73 counts of possession of child pornography and unlawful use of a two-way communication device. He is being held on no bond.
The investigation is ongoing.
“Sheriff Al Nienhuis has a zero tolerance for possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material,” the sheriff’s department said. “Any and all tips are, and will be, meticulously investigated, no stone will be left unturned. Any person who possesses material of this nature will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”
