Gov. Rick Scott and other leaders gathered in Plant City on Wednesday for a Florida National Guard deployment ceremony.
The ceremony was held at 10:30 a.m. at the historic Milton E. Hull Armony on the Plant City Strawberry Festival Grounds.
Members of the 3rd Battalion, 116th Field Artillery Regiment of the Florida National Guard are being deployed to Southwest Asia.
Dozens of family members and supporters were also in the crowd to send them off.
