Multiple airlines are reporting flight delays across the country as they deal with the aftermath of technology problems.
The FAA tweeted on Monday morning that several U.S. airlines were experiencing computer issues. About an hour later, the FAA tweeted that the problem has been resolved and travelers should contact their airlines about their flight’s status.
It is not known how long the delays will continue. At one point on Monday morning, there were at least 50 delays at Tampa International Airport.
Among the airlines reporting delays are Delta, Southwest, United and Alaska Airlines. Multiple airlines have tweeted that technical problems are causing the delays.
“Delta is aware of a technology issue preventing Delta Connection flights from being dispatched. Our teams are working to resume normal operations as quickly as possible. We apologize to customers for any inconvenience,” said Delta on Twitter.
“Apologies for the inconvenience this morning as we fought through some technology issues. We’ve received word that the problem has been resolved, though, so we’ll have you on your way ASAP,” said Southwest Airlines on Twitter.
