A mom in Colorado now calls her 5-year-old son a super-hero after he made a very important phone call. The boy called 911 when he found his mom unresponsive, KMGH reported.
Tarah Gunderlock is diabetic. When she didn’t respond to her son Aydhun Byars, he knew exactly what to do.
He dialed 911, explained the operator what was happening and stayed calm through the whole ordeal. He followed the instructions of the operator to a T.
“I was a little scared,” he told KMGH. “They said I did a very good job.”
And indeed he did.
“He did it at the perfect time because if he would have waited I could have had seizures really scary for him,” his mother explained.
And that wasn’t easy for Aydhun not only because it was a little scary, but because Aydhun has trouble doing a few things including dialing a phone. The boy has clubbed hands and feet, he can’t grip or throw things, his mom told KMGH. The boy had a few surgeries over the years and had to learn to do things differently.
“He’s my little superhero and he makes me really really happy,” his mom said. “I told him you used your superpower and he told me my superpower is love.”
