Office hours aren’t keeping Lightning fans in Tampa Bay from showing off Bolts pride as their team makes a run for the Stanley Cup.
“Got my Lightning tie on today, brought my jersey – all set to head down to the game,” said Dane Fahnestock, who works at Laser Spine Institute in Tampa.
Fahnestock had a duffle full of a gear for the game including blue shoes, a hat and the T-shirt he wore when the Lightning won game 7 in the playoffs. Above his desk is an autograph by former Lightning captain Dave Andrechuck.
The company is a partner with the Lightning, so there’s no need to hide the Bolts fever at the office.
Cubicles are decorated with blue Lightning flags, and employees wore blue to boost team spirit.
“I am a crazy Bolts fan,” said Marietta Parente.
She had a change of clothes ready to go at her desk to head straight to the game at Amalie Arena.
Parente says she watches every game – but this one will be a little different. It’s a first date.
“He scored some points with that,” she said.
