TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – You’ve seen them on the road: dirty cars. Some parents just don’t have a spare second to clean them.
“It’s a time-consuming thing,” said Fred Llenarez of B2 Car Wash and Detailing. “They don’t want to do it. Sometimes they get lazy after a long work week,” he said.
The workers at B2 know a thing or two about bringing out the sparkle and shine on any make or model. First things first: do it yourself.
“You actually having to touch the car with your hands and you have the feel of the grit,” Llenarez said.
Now to the little tricks that come in handy:
- Waxing: Llenarez suggests using a cleaner with a waxing agent included to avoid the daunting waxing step.
- Headlights: Many of us hate to deal with those hazy car headlights. The best way to brighten them up is with toothpaste. Just spread it on – then wipe it off.
- Rims: They can be washed quickly with distilled vinegar and that’ll make them look brand new.
When the water is off, time to dry. B2 workers tell us the best way is to work fast and furiously with multiple towels; not just one.
As for keeping the inside nice and tidy: “I like keeping a trash bag from Publix in my car – very handy,” said Llenarez.
And, hold supplies like jumper cables in a bin in the trunk.
This should all simplify the cleaning and organizing process.
