A library in Boston has opened up a cafe serving food and book-themed cocktails.
The Boston Public Library in Copley Square opened The Map Room Tea Lounge this week. It features architecture from the 1800s, exposed bricks and plenty of maps.
But the main feature of the lounge is the bar menu of tea-infused cocktails. All the drinks are inspired by literature and have names like “Tequila Mockingbird,” “Catcher in the Rye,” “Dorian Gray” and “The Green Light.”
The lounge also plans on hosting events in the future like book readings or shows by local musicians.
“What we were hoped to see is bringing different cultures and different people together to have really unique spirits and really unique cuisine and a really interesting environment,” Salvatore DeGeorge said.
The Map Room Tea Lounge is currently open limited hours Wednesday through Sunday.
