Lakeland Fire Rescue crew responded to a tiny meowing resident in distress Sunday afternoon.
A kitten was trapped in a storm drain near Church’s Chicken in Lakeland. Its meowing attracted people’s attention and somebody called LFR. Firefighters responded and removed the animal from the drain.
They posted pictures of the little rescue on the department’s Facebook page.
