LAKE WORTH, Fla. (AP) – A Lake Worth man facing charges of killing his wife has been denied bond.
The Palm Beach Post reports that a judge on Sunday ordered Walter Lopez Barrios held without bond.
A Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office report says Barrios was arrested early Saturday after deputies responded to calls about an armed domestic disturbance.
The report says that deputies found Barrios’ wife with blunt trauma to her head. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Deputies say the couple’s two teenage daughters witnessed part of the altercation that led to their mother’s death.
The report says Barrios fled their home.
He was later arrested by authorities after he got into a single-car crash on Interstate 95.
