NEW YORK (WFLA/AP) – Viral sensation April the giraffe is close to giving birth again, according to the Animal Adventure Park in Hapursville, New York.
The giraffe went viral during her pregnancy in March of 2017.
Animal Adventure Park announced April’s latest pregnancy in July of 2017 and said the calf was due “during the early part of spring, around March.”
An announcement regarding the park’s permanent giraffe camera for its millions of viewers was announced later that year.
In a Facebook post on Wednesday, Animal Adventure Park said April’s behavioral and physical behaviors are suggesting they are “very much moving towards having a calf. Perhaps sooner than end of March, as predicated based on keeper observations.”
The park is offering a labor text alert for those not wanting to miss a moment.
April’s pregnancy drew more than 232 million YouTube live views during a seven-week period in 2017 before she gave birth to Tajiri.
