Tampa Police are searching for a hit-and-run driver who killed a bicyclist early Sunday morning.
A TPD spokesperson said that it happened at 3:22 a.m. at the intersection of Himes and Hillsborough.
A bicyclist was struck in the crosswalk by a dark colored sedan, which fled westbound on Hillsborough Avenue without stopping.
The bicyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene by Tampa Fire Rescue.
Traffic was shut down in both directions on Hillsborough from Himes to Dale Mabry Hwy for the investigation.
