Woman, dog found pinned against couch after truck plows into home; man sought

A woman and her dog were discovered pinned against a couch after a large truck plowed through her home in Carrollwood Saturday, authorities said. The driver remains at large.

The Hillsborough County Fire Rescue responded to reports of a truck into a home in the 12400 block of Pepperfield Drive, then crews spent 35 minutes trying to free and treat the patient, the agency said on Twitter.

The woman was flown to St. Joseph’s Hospital in critical condition. Her current condition is unknown. The agency previously reported she was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, but a corrected release states she was critically injured. Her name was not released.

The dog was not hurt and is now in the care of a family member, authorities said.

Investigators believe 30-year-old Robert Devon Siders III may have information about the crash.

Those with information about his whereabouts are asked to contact the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office at 813-247-8200.
