A cell phone store employee endured a violent close call during an armed robbery that was caught on video at a Metro PCS store in Seffner.

Three armed men are seen on the video pushing the victim around, dragging him into a back room and holding him at gunpoint Thursday night around 9 p.m.

Hillsborough County deputies said the victim escaped without any physical injuries but walked away with lasting emotional scars.

The three bold criminals were covered from head to toe when they entered the store located at 11200 MLK Blvd.

The video shows the suspects immediately clearing boxes filled with cell phones before turning their focus to the cash register.

Hillsborough deputies said the suspects held an AR-style high powered pistol to the victim’s head.

“That employee is very lucky that he wasn’t hurt,” said Hillsborough Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Cristal Nunez.

“He complied and that’s what we always tell people to do if you find yourself in a situation like that. You always comply with what they’re asking you to do and he did.”

The men got away with cash and cell phones and deputies are asking anyone with information to come forward.
