Crash shuts down I-75 southbound for hours, at least 1 dead

TAMPA (WFLA) – A crash shut down all southbound lanes of traffic on I-75 in Hillsborough County for hours.

It shut down all southbound lanes for hours late today, and there were so many vehicles involved, troopers are still working on a report this evening.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers say the crash involves an overturned dump truck and multiple cars

Troopers have confirmed that one person was killed and another extricated from a van.

One man stopped to render aid and helped rescue a baby trapped in a car.

“As soon as I got out I saw the family got out of the silver truck and I could hear the parents saying my baby my baby so I knew they were helping trying to get the baby out. That’s all I could hear is really them yelling. I have a baby of my own on the way so I wouldn’t be able to imagine what it feels like not knowing if your baby is fine or not,” Addriel Garay said.
