Tampa police investigate suspicious death of 32-year-old woman

TAMPA (WFLA) — Tampa police are investigating the suspicious death of a 32-year-old Tampa woman.

Monica Caridad Hoffa’s body was discovered by a city of Tampa employee at about 9:30 a.m. near the 1000 block of East New Orleans Avenue.

At this time, detectives are describing the cause of death as “upper body trauma.” The circumstances of her death and other details are under investigation.

The last official address for Hoffa was on Pittsfield Avenue in Tampa, but police said it does not appear to be her most recent address.
