TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A portion of Cypress Street was reopened Friday after authorities disabled a reported “suspicious item” that was found on a public bench.
News Channel 8 obtained an image of the item which Tampa Police said was emitting sound. While the item has yet to be officially identified, it was inspected, detonated, and deemed a “non-threat.”
West Cypress Street was reopened from North Rome Avenue to North Oregon Avenue.
