TALLAHASEE, Fla. (WFLA) – The Florida Lottery announced on Monday that a Tampa man claimed the $14.5 million Florida Lotto jackpot from the drawing held Dec. 1.

Krishnakanth Barri, 41, claimed the prize.

Barri chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of  $9,418,782.62.

The jackpot-winning ticket was purchased from the Publix Liquor Store located at 32769 Eiland Boulevard in Zephyrhills.

The retailer will receive a bonus commission of $85,000 for selling the ticket.

The next Florida Lotto drawing will be Wednesday at 11:15 p.m. with a $3 million jackpot.
