TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — One-third of the flights out of Tampa International Airport are delayed or canceled due to the weather in the region.

As of 5:30 p.m. Sunday evening, 191 flights are delayed and six are canceled out of 590 total fights.

The percentage of the delayed flights makes up over 32% of the total flights out of Tampa. Only 1% of the flights were canceled.

Passengers flying out of TPA are encouraged to check their airlines for their most recent flight status.

Over the weekend, the Tampa Bay area experienced showers and storms, as they continue to develop this evening.

A cold front is expected to move through the area on Monday and Tuesday, bringing rain on Wednesday.
