The largest U.S. cities may be known for their unique attributes, but when it comes to family friendliness Tampa claims a top spot on the list.
Coming in at No. 8 in the lineup, Tampa was named as one of the best cities for new parents to call home.
Homes.com ranked the top 25 metropolitan areas in the U.S. based on their overall “family-friendliness” index.
Cities were chosen based on crime rate, cost of living, availability of child care services, average commute times, school quality and park acreage per capita.
Tampa ranked among the top 10 cities for our beautiful parks, easy commute and affordable cost of living.
Dallas, Texas won the No. 1 position and Charlotte, N.C. was a close second.
Two other major cities in the Sunshine State also made the list, with Orlando spotted at 15 and Miami just sneaking in the last slot.
