Hillsborough deputies are searching for a bakery bandit who took off with cash after making an unusual entrance. The bizarre crime was recorded by surveillance cameras.

The crook somehow made his way into the bakery through the roof. This guy was apparently determined to get inside, even if it meant squirming his way through ceiling tiles.

Surveillance cameras recorded the thief’s arrival at the Rico Pan Bakery in Tampa.

The video shows cardboard boxes of restaurant supplies shuffling around on top of a fridge.  Next, you see shoes and legs followed by the bakery bandit jumping down onto a prep table.

“This was definitely a motivated burglary. Instead of not coming in through the front door and not smashing any windows, he got creative and went through the roof and found his way inside,” said Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Danny Alvarez.

Surveillance video shows the thief going straight to the bakery’s safe. But when he couldn’t get it open, he bolts back around the corner to cash in at the cash register.

Watch as he grabs all the dough he could, wadding it up in his hand. He ignores the Apple iPad right in front of him and then lets himself out the back door.

Detectives say there is one other unusual aspect this bizarre burglary. The thief didn’t even bother to take electronics worth thousands of dollars inside an open computer repair shop.

If you recognize the thief in the video call the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.
