Southwest Airlines launches daily nonstop flights between Tampa and Los Angeles

Southwest Airlines begins its new daily, nonstop service between Tampa and Los Angeles today.

Southwest serves 34 percent of the Airport’s annual passengers, according to a Tampa International Airport spokesperson. The LAX route expands the airline’s service from Tampa to the West Coast.

The route, which will use a Boeing 737-700 plane begins Tuesday, Aug. 7, and it will fly once a day between TPA and LAX.

A check of the Southwest Airlines flight schedule found that depending on what day you book your flight, you can get a roundtrip ticket for less than $350.
