Pedestrian safety improvements are continuing along Tampa’s iconic Bayshore Boulevard.

Three pedestrian crosswalks will be marked with new signing and striping in the coming weeks.

The crosswalks are located at South Delaware Avenue, South Dakota Avenue and midblock between South Brevard Avenue and West Swann Avenue.

They will be enhanced with Rectangular Rapid Flash Beacons, which are expected to be turned on Oct. 24.

When approaching a crosswalk, pedestrians should push the button to active the flashing lights, check for traffic and then process across the road when it is safe.
