July 1, the Hillsborough Area Regional Transit Authority (HART) will begin offering express bus service from Wesley Chapel and New Tampa to Tampa International Airport.
Route 275LX will operate hourly, seven days a week, between Pasco and Hillsborough counties. As a Limited Express (LX), the bus will make local stops along Bruce B. Downs Boulevard, and then express service on I-275 between Tampa’s business districts, transportation hubs, and Tampa International Airport.
Park-n-Ride customers can park for free at the Shops of Wiregrass mall in Wesley Chapel, or the Lowe’s store on Bruce B. Downs in New Tampa. Vehicles cannot be left overnight at either park-and-ride lot. However, HART points out that the $2.00 cost of the bus ride, one way, is a significant savings when compared to parking at Tampa International Airport, which may cost up to $30 daily, or ride-share services that average $35 for a trip from Wesley Chapel.
