A man was shot in the neck at a Tampa strip club early Monday morning.

Tampa Police Department officers responded to a report about a shooting at the Hush Gentlemen’s Club at 2:50 a.m. Monday.

A man was found with a gunshot wound to his neck.  

Police say he was alert and was transported to St Joseph’s Hospital for treatment.  

Witnesses described a silver truck leaving the scene.  That truck was found nearby. Police say the driver was not the shooter. He was a patron of the club leaving as the shot rang out.  

Detectives do not know what prompted the shooting. They do not yet know the shooting victim’s identity.

The Hush Gentlemen’s Club is located at 3260 W Hillsborough Ave.
