Kids can celebrate breaks at MOSI with educational camps

While the kiddos will get to take some time off from school during the holidays, not all parents are catching the same break.

But MOSI in Tampa is prepared to keep the learning and fun alive with Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM) activities.

MOSI’s educational camps full of discovery will kick off on Monday, Nov. 19 to 21.

All kids have to bring with them is a snack, lunch and wear clothing that can get messy.

For the 3-day camp, the cost is $168 for non-members and $126 for MOSI members.

Camp hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Extended hours are available from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and/or 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. for an additional $15 per week.

Cooking Creations: Kindergarten – 3rd Grade
November 19 – 21, 2018 (3-Day Camp)
Tis’ the season to eat to your stomach’s content! In this camp we will use science to cook some delicious food and learn about different chemical reactions that allow food to taste so good. We will create awesome appetizers, intriguing entrees, and delectable desserts. So join us for this yummy class. You will cook, create, and have fun! What’s better than that?

Game Making 101: 4th – 8th Grade
November 19 – 21, 2018 (3-Day Camp)
Have you ever wanted to make your own video game but weren’t sure where to start? Well, you’ve come to the right place! In this camp, we’ll show you the techniques you’ll need to know in order to develop a game from scratch. We’ll be using some of the tools the pros use and you’ll get to take your finished product home to show to your family and friends.

And don’t fret if you can’t make the Thanksgiving camps but still want to get it on the fun. There will be more opportunities for Winter Break camps in December.
