The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office assisted Hillsborough County Fire Rescue with a garbage truck fire on Friday.
According to the sheriff’s office, the truck caught fire on Krueger Lane, just west of Armenia Avenue, near the Lake Magdalene area.
The fire was contained to the vehicle, but due to the propane tanks onboard, HCFR requested residents within a half mile of the incident shelter in place.
That request has since been lifted and residents are allowed to return to their homes.
No injuries were reported in the fire and there is no damage to any other property.
