TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A driver has died after their vehicle crashed nearly head-on into a semi-truck on State Road 674 in Lithia Tuesday morning.
The crash happened at about 6 a.m. in the area of State Road 674 and Katie Stanaland Road.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the driver, a 30-year-old Wimauma man, was heading east on State Road 674 when he traveled across the center line into the path of a semi-truck, and crashed into the vehicle almost head-on.
The man died at the scene.
The driver of the semi-truck was not hurt.
