RUSKIN, Fla. (WFLA) – The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help finding a man who might have information about a victim who is fighting for his life after he was found severely beaten at a Ruskin gas station.
Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a gas station at 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday. After arriving at the gas station, which is just north of 3602 US Highway 41 S., deputies found an unresponsive man.
The man was transported to Tampa General Hospital with life-threatening injuries. Detectives are not releasing his name at this time.
Through the investigation, deputies learned that the victim may have been with the man seen in surveillance photos just before the incident occurred.
Detectives are working to locate and speak with the man to learn more about what may have led to the beating.
The man they want to talk to is believed to be a Hispanic and in his early to mid twenties. He is 5′ 1″ tall and has a thin build and dark brown hair.
